Home care aide services are designed to help individuals and families when they are faced with physical or mental illness, disability, mental retardation, or family breakdown. Trained and supervised home care aides maintain the home by shopping, planning meals, cooking, taking care of children, and doing light housework. Personal care is provided under the supervision of a registered nurse.

This directory lists home care agencies that joined the Council as Agency Members. These members meet the Council’s standards for the delivery of home care aide services. Each agency’s individual listing includes the paraprofessional home care services the agency provides.
Certified home health agencies, which provide professional services such as skilled nursing and physical, occupational, and speech therapy, are noted. Agencies accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) or the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) are also noted.
Many agencies, which are noted when appropriate, offer services on a private pay basis. To download a copy of the Council’s informational brochure for families on purchasing home care services, Know Your Private Pay Home Care Options.
